Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork or turkey
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, egg, garlic, ginger, black pepper, salt, and chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the meat mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, lime juice, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken.
  6. Once the meatballs are baked, transfer them to the saucepan with the sauce. Stir gently to coat evenly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
