Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons (5g) ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 1 cup (240 ml) hot water (just below boiling, about 175°F / 80°C)
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
- 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, add 2 teaspoons of matcha powder and pour in 1 cup of hot water. Whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy, with no lumps.
- In a small saucepan
- Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup into the warmed milk.
- Pour the whisked matcha into two mugs. Slowly add the sweetened milk to each mug, stirring gently to combine.
- Optional: Top with a sprinkle of matcha powder or cinnamon for garnish. Serve immediately.
