Ingredients:
- 2 (20-ounce) cans Cherry Pie Filling (do not drain)
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box Yellow or White Cake Mix (dry mix only)
- 1 cup (226g or 2 sticks) cold Unsalted Butter, cubed
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Evenly spread both cans of cherry pie filling across the bottom of the prepared baking dish to create the base layer.
- Take the entire box of dry cake mix and gently sprinkle it evenly over the top of the cherry filling layer. Do not mix the layers together.
- Place the cold butter pieces evenly distributed over the dry cake mix layer, ensuring coverage across the entire surface.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown, the edges are bubbling vigorously, and the butter is fully melted and sizzling.
- Remove from the oven and allow the Easy Cherry Dump Cake to cool slightly for about 15 minutes before serving warm, ideally topped with vanilla ice cream.
