- 2 tilapia fillets (about 6 oz each or 170g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5g)
- ½ teaspoon salt (2g)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1g)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of ½ lemon (about 15ml)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Coat the fish evenly with the marinade, ensuring both sides are covered. Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if desired. Place the tilapia fillets in the basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
- Carefully remove the tilapia from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
