  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (2g)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1g)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of ½ lemon (about 15ml)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  2. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. Coat the fish evenly with the marinade, ensuring both sides are covered. Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if desired. Place the tilapia fillets in the basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
  6. Carefully remove the tilapia from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
