Ingredients:
- 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup crushed crackers (e.g., Ritz or Saltines)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the cooked chicken to the mixture and stir until well combined.
- Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, combine the crushed crackers and melted butter. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Top with additional poppy seeds for garnish.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
