Ingredients:
- 2 large English cucumbers (about 1.5 lbs/680g total), thinly sliced
- 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) sour cream
- 1/4 cup (60ml) mayonnaise (full-fat or light)
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped dill)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Thinly slice the cucumbers and red onion. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, dill, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and onion. Gently toss to ensure everything is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Stir before serving.
