Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Toast hamburger buns in the oven or on a skillet until golden.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto buns and top with pickles and mustard if desired. Serve immediately.
