Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240g) creamy unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon (3g) baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon (1g) salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the tops are slightly golden.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
