Ingredients:
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 Brandied Cherry
- 1 strip Orange Peel
Instructions:
- Place your coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer to chill for at least 5 minutes.
- Fill a heavy-bottomed mixing glass three-quarters full with large, solid ice cubes.
- Add 1 oz of sweet vermouth, 2 oz of rye whiskey, and the dashes of Angostura and orange bitters into the mixing glass.
- Insert a bar spoon and stir rhythmically for approximately 30 seconds until the drink is well-chilled and proper dilution is achieved.
- Strain the liquid into the chilled glassware using a Julep strainer.
- Garnish with one brandied cherry and express the oils of an orange peel over the surface if desired.
