Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 cup fresh finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup minced pork or chicken
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually pour in boiling water, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine cabbage, minced pork/chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and green onions.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Divide dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
- Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal tightly.
- Prepare your steamer or pot with water.
- Steam dumplings for 10-12 minutes, until the dough is translucent and filling is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
