Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz London Dry Gin
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 3 oz chilled Brut Champagne
- 1 cup large ice cubes
- 1 long lemon twist
Instructions:
- Place a Champagne flute or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer for 10 minutes to chill.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 1.5 oz gin, 0.75 oz strained lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup.
- Fill the shaker to the brim with large, solid ice cubes.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosted and extremely cold.
- Double strain the mixture into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer.
- Slowly top the gin base with 3 oz of chilled Champagne. Do not stir to preserve the carbonation.
- Express the oils of a long lemon twist over the glass and drop it in as a garnish.
