  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Pan: Grease and flour the cake pan.
  3. Make the Cake Batter: In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add flour mixture and whole milk to the wet ingredients, alternating until fully incorporated.
  4. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Layer the Batter: Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture, and swirl with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon.
  6. Make the Crumb Topping: In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  7. Add Topping: Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the cake batter.
  8. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
