Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) salt
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk, at room temperature
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
