Ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons (27g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons (25g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons (45ml) Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon (15ml) Vegetable Oil or Melted Butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons (30g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug (approx. 12-14 oz capacity), whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir with a spoon or small whisk until the batter is smooth and no dry streaks of flour remain, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the batter.
  4. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high power for 2 minutes. The cake should be set around the edges and still slightly fudgy in the center. (Note: Microwave wattages vary, so cooking time may need slight adjustment).
  5. Carefully remove the mug from the microwave and let it stand for 3 minutes to allow it to cool slightly and finish setting. Serve warm directly from the mug.
