- 1 cup (240 mL) whole milk
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) pure vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and salt until fully blended.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Pour chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturers instructions. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 2-4 hours until firm.
- Alternatively, pour the chilled mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer. Stir every 30 minutes until slushy but not fully frozen.
- Scoop or pour your chilled treat into bowls or glasses. Top with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or your favorite spring toppings.
