- 4 teaspoons (10 g) loose green tea (or 4 green tea bags)
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh mint leaves, loosely packed
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Boil the water in a saucepan or kettle.
- Place green tea (loose tea or tea bags) in a teapot or heatproof pitcher.
- Pour boiling water over the tea.
- Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on taste preference.
- Remove the tea leaves or bags and let the tea cool slightly.
- Add fresh mint leaves into the warm tea and stir to release the flavor.
- Incorporate honey or agave syrup, stirring until dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled mint green tea over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint sprigs before serving.
