Ingredients:

  • 2 oz premium vodka
  • 6 oz spicy ginger beer
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 fresh mint sprig
  • 1 fresh lime wheel

Instructions:

  1. Place your copper mug in the freezer for at least 5 minutes until a thick frost forms on the exterior.
  2. Pour 2 oz premium vodka into the bottom of the chilled mug.
  3. Squeeze 0.5 oz fresh lime juice directly over the vodka.
  4. Pack the mug to the very brim with crushed or small cubed ice. You want the ice to be mounded slightly above the rim.
  5. Slowly pour 6 oz spicy ginger beer over the ice. Watch for the effervescent foam to rise and settle.
  6. Use a bar spoon to reach the bottom and pull the vodka/lime mixture up through the ginger beer exactly once.
  7. Place 1 fresh mint sprig in your palm and clap your hands together once until you smell the sharp mint aroma.
  8. Tuck the mint sprig and 1 fresh lime wheel into the ice.
  9. Serve immediately. The drink is at its peak the moment it's assembled and the mug is painfully cold to the touch.
