Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine smoked paprika, sweet paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and white pepper.
- Whisk or stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. Break up any clumps.
- Taste a small pinch of the seasoning blend and adjust the cayenne pepper to your desired level of heat.
- Transfer the blackened seasoning to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
