Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine smoked paprika, sweet paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and white pepper.
  2. Whisk or stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. Break up any clumps.
  3. Taste a small pinch of the seasoning blend and adjust the cayenne pepper to your desired level of heat.
  4. Transfer the blackened seasoning to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
