Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of day-old bread, cubed (about 200g)
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil (45ml)
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herbs (5g)
  • ½ teaspoon of salt (3g)
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper (1g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the day-old bread into uniform cubes (about 1-inch).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Add the bread cubes to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (optional). Bake for 10-15 minutes, tossing halfway, until golden brown and crunchy.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before using. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
