Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (900g) chicken wings, separated
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 tsp (5g) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5g) black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (14g) smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp (5g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (5g) onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5g) cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5g) dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp (1.25g) chili powder

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all the dry rub ingredients.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Then, sprinkle the dry rub over the wings, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. For even better flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook in batches if needed.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the wings and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown, crispy, and reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
