Ingredients:

  • 1 large bunch Curly Kale (approx. 9 oz), stems removed and torn into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika

Instructions:

  1. Strip the kale leaves away from the thick, woody ribs and discard the ribs. Tear the leaves into uniform 2-inch pieces.
  2. Wash kale leaves thoroughly in cold water. Use a salad spinner to remove 100% of the moisture, then pat further with paper towels until bone-dry.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry kale, avocado oil, sea salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. Massage the kale by hand for approximately 30 seconds to break down the cellulose walls and ensure every crevice is coated in a microscopic layer of oil and seasoning.
  5. Arrange the kale in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the edges are crisp and the texture is fragile.
