Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons (30g) all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons (24g) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons (10g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) milk
- 3 tablespoons (42g) vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30g) chocolate chips
Instructions:
- In a large microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir well until a smooth batter forms. Scrape the bottom and sides of the mug to prevent lumps.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high power for 1-2 minutes, or until the cake is puffed up and slightly soft in the center. Start with 1 minute and check every 15 seconds thereafter. Watch carefully to avoid overflowing!
- Let the cake cool for a minute or two before serving. The molten center will be extremely hot right out of the microwave.
